Connecting the Hardware
This section describes how to connect the NPort 5100 to serial devices for first time testing
purposes. We cover Connecting to the Network, Connecting to a Serial Device, and LED
Indicators.
Connecting the Power
Connect the 12 to 48 VDC power code with NPort 5100’s power input. If the power is properly
supplied, the “Ready” LED will show a solid red color until the system is ready, at which time the
“Ready” LED will change to a green color.
