3. The progress bar shows that Administrator is retrieving configuration information from the
specific NPort 5100.
4. Refer to Chapter 5 for each parameter’s function definition. To modify the configuration, you
must first click in the modify box to activate the parameter setting box.
ATTENTION
You can simultaneously modify the configurations of multiple NPort 5100s that are of the same
model.
To select multiple NPort 5100s, hold down the Ctrl key when selecting additional NPort 5100s,
or hold down the Shift key to select a group of NPort 5100s.
Upgrading the Firmware
Follow these steps to upgrade the firmware of an NPort 5100.
1. To start NPort Administrator, click Start Æ NPort Administration Suite Æ NPort
Administrator.
