Other Console Considerations
This chapter explains how to access the TAP-125-U-W-X-Z (YYYYYYYY) for the first time. In addition to HTTP
access, there are four ways to access TAP-125-U-W-X-Z (YYYYYYYY): serial console, Telnet console, SSH
console, and HTTPS console. The serial console connection method, which requires using a short serial cable
to connect the
TAP-125-U-W-X-Z (YYYYYYYY) to a PC’s COM port, can be used if you do not know the TAP-125-U-W-X-Z
(YYYYYYYY)’s IP address. The other consoles can be used to access the TAP-125-U-W-X-Z (YYYYYYYY) over an
Ethernet LAN, or over the Internet.
The following topics are covered in this chapter:
RS-232 Console Configuration (115200, None, 8, 1, VT100)
Configuration by Telnet and SSH Consoles
Configuration by Web Browser with HTTPS/SSL
Disabling Telnet and Browser Access
