Auger Housings
To remove/replace the Auger Housing:
1. Disconnect and ground the spark plug wire.
2. Remove the Discharge Chute by following the proce-
dures described in appropriate discharge chute chap-
ter.
3. Remove the two screws that secure the belt cover
using a 3/8” wrench. See Figure 7.5.
4. Lift the Belt Cover off of the unit.
5. Loosen the Idler Pulley enough for the belt to clear it
using a 1/2” wrench. See Figure 7.6.
6. Slip the belt off of the Engine Pulley.
7. Remove the four screws that hold the Auger Housing
to the transmission using a 1/2” wrench. See Figure
7.7.
NOTE: The snow thrower will split in two when the screws
are removed.
