Remote Head
To disassemble a manual crank Remote Head:
NOTE: Procedures for rigid and flexible shaft Remote
Heads are the same.
1. Remove the hair pin clip that attaches the crank to
the Remote Head.
2. Slide the shaft out of the Remote Head.
3. Remove the bolt that attaches the Remote Head to
the chute using a 1/2” wrench. See Figure 8.24.
4. Remove the wing nut from the underside of the
Remote Head.
5. Remove the bow tie clip and clevis pin that secures
the Remote Head to the Support Mast.
6. Lift the Remote Head and chute off of the machine.
7. Separate the Remote Head from the chute. See Fig-
ure 8.25.
NOTE: There is a flat washer between the Remote Head
and the chute. If this washer is missing, the
Remote Head may bind. See Figure 8.26.
