Erroneous Behavior
Analysis Possible Causes Remedy
Drive Unit fails to open X LED SE (Safety Sensor, yellow) is OFF
X LED OE (opening command, blue) reacts
to the Acvaon Sensor
X Determine the Acvaon Sensor via the
diagnosc level
Depending on the
enabled operang
mode, acvaon
commands (inside/
outside, etc) are
ignored
X Switch on the main power switch
on the Side Cover
X Measure the main supply voltage,
check the cabling and eliminate
any detected deciencies
X Should the two above-menoned
measures not be successful, the
Control Unit needs to be replaced
X LED SE (Safety Sensor, yellow) is OFF
LED OE (opening command, blue) is OFF
despite the acve Acvaon Sensor
The opening
command is not
evaluated
X Check the cabling between the
Acvaon Sensor and the Control
Unit and eliminate any detected
deciencies
X Replace the Acvaon Sensor
Drive unit fails to close LED SE (Safety Sensor, yellow) is ON One or more Safety
Sensors are acve or

X Remove the obstacle
X Check the cabling between the
Safety Sensor and the control
unit and eliminate any detected
deciencies

opening element and the control
unit and eliminate any detected
deciencies
X Replace the Acvaon Sensor

Change the operang mode
The Operang Mode
cannot be changed
Program selecon keys on the side on the
side cover are not lighted
The ribbon cable
is not plugged in
correctly, or not
plugged in at all
Check the ribbon cable and
eliminate any problems
The Operang Mode symbol on the display
is underlined

means of the external Power/

CHAPTER14:SOFTWARE UPDATE VIA USB
A soware update of the GT20 control unit can be quickly and easily achieved with a USB ash drive.
Note:  Not all USB ash drives can be used. It is recommended to test your ash drive on a test bench GT20 before using it on a
customer’s product
