MANTEL HEIGHT
MANTEL DEPTH
Installing a mantel between this appliance and electronics or other materials that may be sensitive to heat, will
reduce the effect of direct heat on them. Ensure mantel is properly sized (width & depth) to suit the object being
mounted above.
Follow mantel height restrictions for proper clearance according to the depth of the mantel.
A non-combustible mantel is considered a non-combustible protrusion, see “fi nishing” for protrusion restrictions.
Combustible mantel clearance can vary according to the mantel depth. Use the graph to determine the clearance
needed.
Risk of fi re. Maintain all specifi ed air space clearances to combustibles. Failure to comply with these
instructions may cause a fi re or cause the appliance to overheat. Ensure all clearances (i.e. back, side, top,
vent, mantel, front, etc.) are clearly maintained.
When using paint or lacquer to fi nish the mantel, the paint or lacquer must be heat resistant to prevent
discolouration.
Installing a television or other electronics above the appliance may cause discolouration, melting, or damage
to the electronics. Use clearances as guidelines and refer to your TV manufacturer’s instructions for further
information.
