TheKOMPLETEAUDIO6processesbothincomingaudioandtheaudiosenttoyourcom-
puter(andexternalequipment)inanaloganddigitalform.Itisastand-alonedevicewhich
drawspowerfromtheUSBconnectionofyourcomputer.Thus,anexternalpowersupplyis
unnecessary.Thedeviceprovides:
• soundconversion(fromanalogtodigitalandviceversa)
• playback/monitoring(fromaninputdeviceorcomputertoheadphones/speakers)
• recording(fromanalog/digitalinputsintodigitaldata)

(1)INPUT1and INPUT 2 (LineandMicrophone):Theseinputshaveacombinationsocketforuse
withXLRor1/4”jackconnectors.WhenconnectinganXLRconnector,anXLRlocklatches.
Youcaneasilyreleasetheconnectorbypressingthereleasetab.
The input GAINknoblowers/raisestheamountofsignalgoingintotheKOMPLETEAUDIO6.
The LINE/INST togglebuttonselectseitherLINEmodeforstrong-signaledinputs(likeasyn-
thesizerortheoutputofanelectricpiano)orINSTforweak-signaledinputs(suchasaguitar
orabassguitar).XLRconnectedgearisnotaffectedbythisbutton.
(2)MONITORsection:TheONswitchturnsdirectmonitoringon/off.Withdirect monitoring acti-
vated,theunaffectedinputsignalwillbeheardwithzerolatency.TheONswitchalsodoubles
as a monitor selector switch. When held for one second, it cyclesthrough three monitor
modes:monitorsignaltooutputs1/2;monitorsignaltooutputs3/4;andmonitorsignalto
bothoutputpairs1/2and3/4.TheLEDsfromtheMONITORsectiononthedevice’stop
paneldisplaywhichmonitoringmodeiscurrentlyactive.
The MONOswitchtogglesthemonitoroutputselectionbetweenamono signal and a stereo
signal.Switching to a mono setting aids in monitoring a mono signal, such as a guitar’s
mono input.
The VOLUMEcontrollowers/increasestheoutputlevelofthemonitorsignal.
