VM8000 Issue 1.0
InMail System Guide 2 - 41
Auto Erase or Save
Description
When a
m
ailbox user listens to a new message completely and then exits the mailbox,
VM8000 InMail either automatically saves or erases the message.
The setting of this
option depends on subscriber preferences.
The subscriber can choose the Auto Erase option, review messages and save
messages. The subscriber that chooses the Auto Save option is assured that
VM8000 InMail automatically saves all messages when the mailbox is exited.
Auto Save Example:
H
VM8000 InMail alerts the subscriber to new messages by a Message Waiting Lamp.
H
The subscriber presses L to listen to a portion of each message and then exits his
mailbox.
H
If a subscriber chooses the Auto Save option, VM8000 InMail saves partially
listened-to messages but does not illuminate the message waiting lamp for those
messages. VM8000 InMail saves all the messages and turns off the message
waiting lamp.
H
If you hang up while listening to a new message, VM8000 InMail automatically
saves the message as a new message.
