applications are typically chosen from the range 1024 to 65535 by the authors of the application.
Although the wireless modem router already holds a list of many service port numbers, you are not
limited to these choices. Use the following procedure to create your own service definitions.
To define services:
1. Log in to the wireless modem router at its default LAN address of http://192.168.0.1 with its
default user name of admin, and default password of password, or using whatever password
and LAN address you have chosen for the wireless modem router.
2. Select Services to display the following screen:

• To create a new service, click the Add Custom Service button.
• To edit a service, select its button on the left side of the table, and click Edit Service.
• To delete a service, select its button on the left side of the table, and click Delete Service.
3. Use the screen shown here to define or edit a service.

• Name. Enter a meaningful name for the service.
• Type. Select the correct type for this service. If in doubt, select TCP/UDP. The options
are: TCP, UDP, TCP/UDP.
