Meaning of Symbol Used on the Equipment
The following symbol placed on the equipment indicates that you need to be cautious when
using the equipment. Before you operate the part of the equipment with this symbol, check
this instruction manual.

Symbol Meaning
Caution for heat.
This marking on the rear of the lamphouse and the upper and the lower right
of the microscope stand calls your attention on the following:
• Lamphouse becomes extremely hot during and immediately after the
illumination.
• Risk of burns. Do not touch the lamphouse during and immediately after
the illumination.
• Make sure that the lamphouse is sufficiently cool before the lamp
replacement.
