7. Text messages
Within the Messages menu (Menu 1)
you can read, write and send text (SMS)
messages to another phone or, for
example, to an Email address or fax if
supported by your network. To send
text messages, you may first need to
subscribe to the text message (SMS)
service.
Reading text messages
When you have received a text
message, the indicator and the
number of new messages followed by
the NN Messages received is
displayed.

Press Read to read the message or
press Exit to view it later.
If you have received more than one
new text message, press
Navi Roller
to read the highlighted message.
To read an unread message later:
Press Menu and press
Navi Roller
at
Messages, then roll to the desired
message and press
Navi Roller
to
read it. The message is stored in the
Inbox folder after you have read it.
To read the read message later:
Press Menu and press
Navi Roller
at
Messages, then press
Navi Roller
at Inbox. Roll to the desired
message and press
Navi Roller
to
read the highlighted message.

While reading the message, press
Options to roll through the list of
options and press
Navi Roller
at the
highlighted option to select it.
The option list includes options for
erasing, replying, forwarding,
moving, editing and renaming the
message you are reading.
You can also copy the message to
your phone’s calendar as a reminder
note (Copy to Calendar). The
Details option shows you, for
example, the sender’s name and
phone number, message centre used
for sending, reception date and
time.

Replying to a text
message

Once in a message you want to reply
to, press Options, roll to Reply
and press
