Protecting the SIM card with the PIN
code
You can protect your SIM card by
setting the phone to ask for your PIN
code every time the phone is switched
on. To do this, you need to set the menu
function PIN code request (menu
4-5-1) to On.
The PIN code is usually supplied with
the SIM card. If not, contact your
service provider. You can change your
PIN code in the Change of access
codes menu (4-5-6).
Note:
If you enter an incorrect
PIN code three times in
succession, the SIM card is
blocked and you need to enter
the PUK code to unblock the SIM
card. See Access codes.
