6.1 Diagnosing Switch Indicators
This switch can be easily monitored through panel indicators to identify problems.
Table 13 describes common problems you may encounter and possible solutions.
Table 13 Troubleshooting
Symptom Possible Cause Action
Power LED is Off Power outlet, power cord, or
power supply may be
defective. Also, the switch may
be in the OFF position.
If using an external DC power
supply, check the connections
between the switch and the power
supply. If using an AC power supply,
check connections between the
switch, the power cord, and the wall
outlet.
If the problem persists, contact the
appropriate technical support center
for assistance.
Sys LED is Off Boot-up diagnostic program
has detected a problem.
Power cycle the switch to try and
clear the condition.
If the problem persists, contact the
appropriate technical support center
for assistance.
Sys LED is Amber System has raised an alarm Take measures to clear the alarm.
For example, if the temperature has
exceeded the operating range
threshold, power down the
switch,until the temperature goes
down.
