2. Enter the information the install command requests (your system IP
address, the server IP address, and other information).
3. When asked if you want to install a diskless image, enter
y.
4. Enter the information related to installing on a diskless system (device for
image, device for remote logging).
5. Reboot the EM5400 appliance.
Protecting the Boot Manager with a Password
To prevent accidental or unauthorized access to the information stored on
your Nokia EM5400 IP Security Platform appliance, you can require that the
user enter a password to access the boot manager install command. Use the
password command to set the password.
Note
The password you enter gives you access to the install command in boot
manager, not access to IPSO.
To set a password
1. At the boot manager command prompt enter:
BOOTMGR[0]> passwd
The passwd utility prompts you for your current password.
2. If the appliance is protected by a password, enter your current password.
The program prompts you for the new password.
3. Enter the new password.
The program prompts you to re-enter the new password for verification.
4. Enter the new password again.
