Expandable MIDI Master Controller

5.4.2. Program Changes
Pressing function key [F1] gives access to the
PRG CHANGE
subsection. The selection
can also be made using the cursor (location) keys, confirming with [ENTER].
Once the selection has been made, the following video page will appear:
When the video page is accessed, the "
ZONE
" field is selected; this shows the zone being
modified (from A to H). The Data Entry devices can be used to enter the desired value.
The next field on the display is the
TABLE
field, which selects a table containing the
associations between the number of the program change to be selected and the name of
the corresponding sound on the connected expander (if initialized in the Factory Settings)
or the sound board installed.
The instrument contains 32 tables preset by the manufacturer, relating to the program
change sound name associations of the sound boards supported and some of the
expanders most commonly found on the market. However, it will be possible to set
personalized associations in 16 user tables (U33 U48) in the instrument's utility section.
When the "TABLE" field is selected, the display will appear as shown below:
At this point, the Data Entry devices can be used to assign a value to the "TABLE" field in
the range P1 P32, U33 U48, and the display field will update the name of the selected
table in real time. The OFF condition is also possible: in this case, the display field is not
present.
When the "TABLE" field is deselected, the display field disappears.
If the zone being edited refers to the
internal board, and the board is recognized
, the
“TABLE” field will automatically preset on the program change table dedicated to the board
installed. If the board installed has not been recognized by the MC-2000 software, the
table relating to the General Midi protocol will appear.
The next fields are for selection of "
BANK SELECT MSB
" (BANK M=) and "
BANK
SELECT MSB
" (BANK L=), meaning the value of the corresponding Control Change
Display field
