Chapter 3 Preparation and inspection before observation
4 Turn the nut of the optical adapter clockwise until the second screw
thread is screwed onto the connecting screw thread. Tighten the
nut until it is stops.
5 To remove the optical adapter, repeat these steps in reverse order.
CAUTION
• If you cannot mount or remove the optical adapter because the nut will not turn, stop using it
and contact Olympus.
• The optical adapter is a precise instrument using glass components in the optical system. Do
not drop it or hit it against hard surfaces.
• Before attaching or detaching the optical adapter, check the joint area between the insertion
tube and optical adapter if no water droplets or foreign objects are present.
• Attach the optical adapter and make sure it engages as far as it will go.
• The optical adapter is designed for safety with a double-screw construction to prevent it from
falling off.
