Procedure for Creating and Using Image Data
The procedure for creating image data and registering them on a screen is de-
scribed simply here. For details, refer to the NT-series Support Tool Version 4 for
Windows Operation Manual (V061-E1-).
Call the image editor.
Specify the image code.
Specify color/monochrome, and size
Create the image data
Exit the image editor and register the image data.
Perform screen editing.
Register the created image data for display.
Indirect Specification
With indirect specification, specify a numeral memory table entry containing the
desired hexadecimal code. The PT treats the contents of the specified numeral
memory table entry as an image code and displays the corresponding image.
This function is very convenient when you want to change displayed images.
Since image codes are hexadecimal, the Storage Type of the numeral memory
table entries that contain image codes must be set to binary and the values
(image code numbers) stored in the table entries must be hexadecimal.

Restrictions
A maximum of 4,095 image data can be created for one screen data file: each
of the image data is assigned any required code within the range 0001 to
0FFF
H (image/library code range) so that it can be managed and specified.
Altogether, up to 256 image and library data elements (directly and indirectly
specified) can be displayed on one screen. For overlapping screens compris-
ing 8 child screens, the maximum is 1,024.
The size of image data can be specified as follows:
NT21 NT31/NT31C NT631/NT631C Remarks
Width 8 to 256 dots 8 to 320 dots 8 to 640 dots 8-dot units
Height 8 to 136 dots 8 to 240 dots 8 to 480 dots 8-dot units
The codes used for image data are dedicated for image/library data use.
Image data cannot be included in character strings in the same way that
marks can, unless the PT is in NT20S or NT30/620 compatible mode.
Image data that projects out of the screen area cannot be specified.
