The power cord should be plugged into a compatible and stable power source via a grounded
3-prong outlet. No other item should be drawing current from the same circuit. There should be
firefighting equipment nearby and the local fire department’s phone number should be clearly
displayed.

It is highly recommended to have an extra work table nearby to avoid placing objects on or
directly adjacent to the engraver, which could become a fire or laser hazard.
•
Provide 5 feet (1.5 m) of clearance behind the engraver for the fan and 3 feet (1 m) of clearance
to the right of the engraver for the electronic bay’s fans for maximum efficiency.
