2.6.5 Interfacing Audio to Consoles without Patchbays
All console line level inputs and outputs are designed for +4 dBu nominal level. Master
Audio harnesses are plugged into Female DB-25 connectors mounted on the rear of the
console.
The following are interfaced to 1/4" Stereo Phone jacks located on the rear panel of
each module.
• Line In and Tape In (Balanced)
• Stereo Module Main In and Return In (Balanced)
• Chan and Mix Path Inserts (Send and Return, Unbalanced)
• Stereo Module Main Path Insert (Send and Return, Unbalanced)
• Chan and Mix Path Direct Out (Unbalanced)
■ Stereo Amps
The Stereo Amps connector connects to the balanced inputs of the Control Room,
Studio, and Near Field monitor amps. The console’s oscillator is interfaced to this
connector as well.The connector pinout is as follows:
■ Aux 1–8
The DB-25 connector labeled Aux 1–8 are the balanced Aux Send outputs of the
console. The connector pinout is as follows:
