Getting in from the side
1) Place the seat in the horizontal position.
2) Bring the power wheelchair as close as possible to the
seat surface upon which the user is seated.
3) Remove the side panel (see Page20).
INFORMATION: If the control panel is on the side
from which the user is getting into the wheelchair,
it can be removed and set down on the seat.
4) Remove the footrest if necessary (see Page21).
5) Slide into the seat from the side.
INFORMATION: A slide board makes it easier to get
into and out of the wheelchair from the side.
6) Install the side panel (see Page20).
7) Put the lap belt on when necessary (when driving on the
road).
6.4 Control unit

Risk of falling, tipping, collision with persons or nearby
objects
► Switch all mobile devices off while driving.
► Turn the control unit off when it is not needed.
The power wheelchair is controlled by an enAble50 control
unit.
Because the control unit is programmable, it can be adap
ted to the personal requirements of the user; e.g. the speed,
acceleration and deceleration values can all be adapted.
6.4.1 Control Panel
The power wheelchair is operated using the control panel.
The control panel consists of a keypad, an LCD display and
a joystick. The charging/programming receptacle and two
inputs for external buttons are located on the underside.
The control panel is used to switch the power wheelchair on
and off, enter driving commands and display the current
statuses of certain functions and components.
