4) Manually fold the backrest forward on to the seat sur
face.

1) Remove the side panels.
2) Push the lever (see Fig.50, item 2) on the back of the
backrest up and unlock the cross bolt (see Fig.50, item
1) at the bottom end of the gas compression spring or
adjustment drive.
3) Remove the cross bolt from the bracket.
4) Fold the backrest forward on to the seat surface.

to fold the backrest down: see Page51.
6.13.4 Preparing for transport
1) Position the power wheelchair in its transport location.
2) Turn the control unit off.
