14 TROUBLESHOOTING
This section lists issues that may be encountered during use of the charger.
Charger Electronic Unit
(Ecotec Charger) will not
turn on (no LCD display/no
blue LED indicator)
No 200-240V/380-
440V/480V/600V supply.
Follow Lock-Out-Tag-Out to remove
power from the charger and confirm
that the Charger Electronic Unit was
installed correctly,
Check if the circuit breaker has tripped
and if so, reset and check Charger
Electronic Unit.
OTTO 100 SDV is docked,
but the charge indicator(s)
is/are off
Low battery indicated but
charge is not initiated.
Ecotec Charger reads
‘Connect Battery’.
Charge Contact are not making proper
contact between the OTTO 100 SDV and
the Charge Dock. Remove the vehicle from
the Charge Dock and inspect the charge
contacts on the Charge Dock for damage.
Charge or signal contacts
are visually failing to make
contact between the OTTO
100 SDV and the Charge
Dock.
Charge Dock has not been shimmed
correctly or the floor surface is uneven,
creating a bend in the Charge Dock.
Follow Charge Dock Shimming
procedure.
Low battery indicated but
charge is not initiated,
Ecotec charger shows
reading of battery voltage.
Signal contact is not making proper contact
between SDV and dock. Remove the SDV
from the dock and inspect the signal
contact. If charge is being commanded
manually make sure the charge action has
been enabled on the SDV.
Battery has full charge as
indicated by the green LED
strip
This is normal operation.
The SDV does not have
network connectivity or the
light pipe is not illuminated.
The OTTO 100 SDV may have run out of
power following charge or pre-charge.
Remove the vehicle from the Charge Dock
and use the OTTO 100 Manual Charger.
