Automated gearbox
10.1 INTRODUCTION
General
The TraXon gearbox is a fully automated gearbox based on a mechanical gearbox
combined with an electropneumatic gear and clutch control system.
In contrast to conventional automatic gearboxes, the automated gearbox does not
show any tendency to creep when a gear is engaged.
Although the accelerator pedal has a kick-down section (full throttle), the automated
gearbox does not have an enforced gear-down shift function.
The automated gearbox always starts in fully automatic mode.
