13. Materials - Troubleshooting
The image is blurry or not colored.

Confirm the connection. ( 27 / Connecting the external monitor)
The output destination images are displayed with gray bands.
●
Gray bands may be displayed on the top and bottom or the left and right of the images. You can change the band color
in [Background Color(Playback)] in [HDMI / SDI Connections] of the [Setup] ([IN/OUT]) menu. ( 195 / [Background
Color(Playback)])
Cannot communicate with the PC.
●
When connected with a USB connection cable.
Please confirm settings of [USB Mode] in the [Setup] ([IN/OUT]) menu. ( 195 / [USB Mode])

When connected with a LAN cable.
Check the setting in [IP Address Setting (LAN)] under [LAN / Wi-Fi Setup] from [LAN / Wi-Fi] of the [Setup] ([IN/OUT]) menu.

When connected with Wi-Fi. ( 254 / Wi-Fi Function)

Turn the camera off and on.
Recording
Cannot record videos.
●
When using a large capacity card, you may not be able to record for a while after turning on the camera.
Recording stops before finishing. Cannot use some functions.
●
Recording video requires a card of a supported Speed Class. Use a compatible card. ( 16 / Memory Cards That Can Be
Used)
●
In high ambient temperatures or if the camera is used for continuous recording, the temperature of the camera will rise. To
protect the camera against a rise in temperature, after [ ] is displayed, recording will be stopped. Wait until the camera
cools down.
The recorded image is whitish.
●
Images may look whitish when the lens or image sensor gets dirty with fingerprints or similar. If the lens is dirty, turn the
camera off, then wipe the lens surface with a soft, dry cloth. For information about how to clean the image sensor. ( 257 /
Dirt on the image sensor)
The recorded image is too bright or dark.
●
Ensure AE Lock is not set where it is not appropriate. ( 87 / Locking Focus and Exposure (AF/AE Lock))
The subject is not focused properly.
●
Confirm the following details:
– Is the subject outside of the focus range?
– Is AF Lock ( 87 / Locking Focus and Exposure (AF/AE Lock)) set where it is not appropriate?
The recorded image looks rough. Noise appears on the picture.
●
Try the following:
– Reduce the ISO sensitivity. ( 88 / ISO Sensitivity)
– Increase [Noise Reduction] of [Photo Style] to the positive direction, or adjust each item other than [Noise Reduction] to
the negative direction. ( 97 / Adjusting Image Quality)
