• Keep the first 100mm from the front surface of the FP-I4C unit open in order to allow
room for programming tool connections and wiring.
4.2 General installation procedure
Please install the FP-I4C in the following order:
1. Mount the unit on the DIN rail on which the PLC is mounted
For detailed information, refer to Mechanical installation.
2. Connect the Ethernet (10/100BaseT) with a standard Ethernet cable (at least Cat 5).
Be sure not to have a IP address conflict. The ETH0 port is configured as DHCP client.
The ETH1 port is configured with a pre-defined fixed IP address.
3. Connect the PLC via RS232C/USB/RS485
Please read the information on wiring under Parts and functions, Wiring Wiring or the
"FP-I4C Installation Instructions Leaflet".
Configuration: For the first configuration use a standard browser and enter the IP
address of the unit.
4. Connect the power supply
Before connecting the power supply, please read the information on power supply
