Do not use the unit for surveillance
purposes or other business uses.
p This unit was designed for consum er
intermittent use. It was not intended for
continuous use, or for any industrial or
commercial application resulting in
prolonged use.
p In cer
tain situations, continuous use could
cause the unit to overheat and cause a
malfunction. Such use is strongly
discouraged.
When you are not going to use the unit
for an extended time
p When storing the unit in a cupboard or
cabinet, it is recom m ended that
you place
a desiccant (silica gel) in with it.
When disposing of or giving aw ay this
unit, note that:
p Formatting and deletion simply change the
file m anagem ent information and cannot
be used to com pletely erase the data in
built-in memor
y of this unit. The data can
be recovered using commercially available
software or the like.
p We recom m end that you physically format
the built-in memory before disposing of or
giving aw ay this unit.
For the physical format, connect t
he unit to
the AC adaptor, set the mode sw itch to
, select [SETUP] [FO RM AT
MEDIA] [Built-inM em ory] from the
menus, and then press and hold dow n the
Optical im age stabilizer/Delete button for
approximately 3 seconds on the screen
bel
ow. W hen the built-in memory data
deletion screen appears, select [YES],
and then follow the on-screen instructions.
p Please look after the data in your built-in
memory carefully. P anasonic will not be
held responsible in the unl
ikely case that
private data is divulged.
The battery used in this unit is a
rechargeable lithium -ion battery. It is
susceptible to hum idity and tem perature and
the effect increases the more the
tem perature rises or fall
s. In cold areas, the
full charge indication may not appear or the
low battery indication may appear about
5minutes after starting use. At high
tem peratures, the protection function may
be triggered, making it im possible to
use the
unit.
Be sure to detach the battery after use.
p If the battery is left attached, a minute
am ount of current continues to flow even if
the unit is off. Keeping the unit in this state
may result in over di
scharge of the battery.
This may result in you not being able to
use the battery even after it is charged.
p The battery should be stored in the vinyl
bag so metal does not com e into contact
with the terminals.
p The battery should be
stored in a cool
place free from hum idity, with as constant
tem perature as possible. (R ecom m ended
tem perature: 15 QC to 25 QC (59 °F to
77 °F), R ecom m ended hum idity: 40% R H
to 60% R H )
