p To return to auto setting, select or press the iA/MANUAL button.
w To set the White Balance m anually
1Press / to select , and fill the screen
with a white subject.
2Press to set.
p When the display stops flashing and then lights
constantly, the setting is com plete.
p If the display continues flashing, the White
Balance cannot be set
. In this case, use other White
Balance Modes.
p If you turn on the unit with the lens cover closed, the Auto White Balance will not be
perform ed correctly. Always open the lens cover before turning on the unit.
p When the display flashes, the M anual White Balance previously adjusted
is stored.
W henever recording conditions change, re-set the White Balance.
p When setting both the White Balance and the iris/gain, set the White Balance first.
p is not displayed on the screen when is being set.

Sunny m ode: Outdoors under a clear sky
Cloudy m ode: Outdoors under cloudy sky, or in shade
Indoor mode 1: Incandescent light, video lights like in the studio, etc.
Indoor mode 2: Color fluorescent lam ps, sodium lam ps in gym nasium s, etc.
M anual adjustment m ode:
p Mercury-vapor lam ps, sodium lam ps, som e fluorescent lights
p Lights used for w edding receptions at hotels, stage spotlights in theaters
p Sunrise, sunset, etc.
