M anual shutter speed/Iris adjustment
Shutter Speed:
Adjust it w hen recording fast-moving subjects.
Iris:
Adjust it w hen the screen is too bright or too dark.
p Press the iA/MANUAL button to sw itch to M anual Mode. (F 59)
1 Select [SHTR] or [IRIS] using the cursor button.
2 Press / to adjust settings.
:Shutter speed:
1/60 to 1/8000
p If [AUTO SLOW SHTR] is set to [ON], the
shutter speed will be set between 1/30 and
1/8000.
p The shutter speed closer to 1/8000 is faster.
:Iris/Gain value:
CLOSE

(F16 to F2.0)

OPEN

(0dB to 18dB )
p Value closer to CLOSE darken the image.
p Value closer to 18dB brighten the image.
p When the iris value is adjusted to brighter than OPEN, it changes to the gain value.
p To return to auto setting, press the iA/MANUAL button.
p When setting both the shutter speed and the iris/gain value, set the shutter speed and then
set the iris/gain value.
M anual shutter speed adjustment
p You may see a band of light around an object that is shining very bright, or highly refl
ective.
p During normal playback, im age movement may not look sm ooth.
p If you record an extrem ely bright object or record under indoor lighting, color and screen
brightness may change or a horizontal line may appear on the screen. In this case, recor
d
in the Intelligent Auto M ode or set the shutter speed to 1/60 in areas w here the pow er
supply frequency is 60 H z, or 1/100 in areas of 50 H z.
M anual iris/gain adjustment
p If the gain value is increased, the noise on the screen increases.
p D epending
on the zoom m agnification, there are iris values that are not displayed.
