•The handset is too far from the base unit
•The handset is engaged in an outside
call or is viewing the Caller List/directory
list Wait until the IN USE/CHARGE
indicator light goes out
You cannot redial by
pressing (REDIAL/PAUSE 1
• If the last number dialed was more than
32 digits long, the number will not be
redialed correctly
•Access numbers entered after pressing
[TONE] will not be included when
redialing
You cannot have a
conversation using the
handset
•When an optional headset is connected
(p 20), you must use the headset to
talk with the caller To have a normal
cordless phone conversation,
disconnect the headset
You cannot have a
conversation using the
headset
• Make sure that an optional headset is
connected properly (p 20)
Answering System
Problem Cause and Remedy
The answering system is on, *The recording time is set to “Greeting
but incoming messages are only” Select “1 minute” or “3 minutes”
not recorded (p 30)
• Memory is full Erase some, or all, of
the messages (p 73)
•You are answering the other line with
the speakerphone, or the answering
system is in use (recording a message,
playing back a message, etc ) Hang up
the first call or stop using the answering
system
