3. Remove the upper part of the safety guard (13) by
first removing the eyelet fitted on the upper screw of
the angle gear (11).
4.3.2. FITTING/DISMOUNTING OF THE PROTECTIVE SHIELD (OPTION)
Note
Refer to part Section 9.1.2, « Mulching » for the description and reference number of accessories.
The protective shield (ref.158492) is compulsory when the tool is fitted with a mulching blade.
Fitting the protective shield
1. Fit the two parts constituting the protective shield on
the transmission shaft (14).
2. Start screwing in the 4 captive screws so as to as-
semble the two parts of the protective shield.
3. Adjust the position of the protective shield on the
transmission shaft, making sure to maintain a dis-
tance of 130 mm between the upper part of the angle
gear (11) and the flange of the protective shield.
4. Lock the position of the protective shield by tighte-
ning the 4 captive screws.
