SFP slots
Inserted SFP modules are detected automatically when the device is switched on and the
corresponding RJ45 port is disabled. Configuration of the SFP modules is not required be-
cause the modules are configured automatically (as of firmware 8.1.x).
The device supports both SFP modules with 100 and 1000 Mbps. Reboot the device when
you change the speed of the used SPFs.
Use of the following SFP modules is recommended:
FL SFP SX, 2891754
FL SFP LX, 2891767
FL SFP LH, 2989912
FL SFP FX, 2891081
FL SFP FX SM, 2891082
Elements of the SFP modules
The SFP slots are used by SFP modules (FO fiberglass
modules in SFP format). By selecting the SFP modules, the
user can specify whether the switch has multi-mode or sin-
gle-mode fiber optic ports, for example.
Inserting the SFP modules
Insert the SFP modules in the relevant slots.
Ensure correct mechanical alignment of the SFP mod-
ules.
Connecting the FO cable
Ensure correct mechanical alignment when inserting
the fiber optic plugs.
Removing the fiber optic plugs
Press the arresting latch (A) and pull out the plug (B).
