10. Return the power supply voltage to +18.00 +0.05Vdc.
11. Charge the defibrillator to 360J.
12. Slowly reduce the power supply voltage toward the upper Shutdown
Limit detection threshold of +13.70Vdc.
13. Discharge the defibrillator into the internal test load of the
defibrillator.
14. Repeat steps 8 through 10 above, lowering the power supply voltage
toward the lower Shutdown Limit of +13.30Vdc until the CRT
display blanks out. Confirm that the power supply voltage is within
the Shutdown Limits shown in the Low Battery Thresholds Table.
15. Reinstall the Front Panel.
1. With the instrument power off, install the Shock Advisory Adapter or
Defibrillation Adapter.
2. Attach the test paddles to the defibrillation cable and secure the
paddles to the energy meter.
Possible energy meter damage. Start each test at the lowest
energy level to avoid overheating the energy meter. Test each
energy level in successive order.
3. Access the Test Menu (turn power off, then press ON while pressing
and holding down LEAD SELECT and HR ALARM until the Test
Menu is displayed).
Press W ECG SIZE À to scroll to the DEFIB test.
Press HR ALARM to start the DEFIB test.
Press W ENERGY SELECT A to scroll to LOW. Select 1J.
Press CHARGE.
After the instrument reaches full charge as indicated by the tone,
simultaneously press both adapter discharge pushbuttons to transfer
the energy into the energy meter.
9. Confirm that the CRT displays the message JOULES DELIVERED:
XXX, where XXX is the energy selected.

10.Read the value on the energy meter.
11.Press W ECG SIZE A as necessary to change the JOULES
DELIVERED: XXX value to match the value on the energy meter.
12.Press HR ALARM to enter the adjusted value.
13.Press CHARGE. After charging is complete, simultaneously press
both adapter discharge pushbuttons to transfer the energy into the
energy meter. Confirm that the energy meter value eguals the
selected value as indicated in Table 5.
14.Press HR ALARM to reinitiate the DEFIB test.
15. Repeat steps 6 through 14 for each energy level.
