- Start the engine, let it idle for about a minute and then switch it off.
- Wait for at least ten minutes and then top up by adding oil to the «MAX» level.
Check
Check oil level every time the vehicle is used, with
the engine cold. The level should be between the
MAX and MIN marks on the oil level dipstick shown
in figure; the stand should be firm on an even sur-
face during the check.
If the check is carried out after the vehicle has
been used, i.e. the engine is hot, the level line will
be very low; for an adequate check, wait at least
10 minutes after the engine stops in order to have
the correct level.
Check by pushing the dipstick all the way into the
hole.
CAUTION
USING THE ENGINE WITH INSUFFICIENT LUBRICATION
OR WITH THE WRONG LUBRICANTS MAY INCREASE
WEAR AND TEAR ON THE MOVING PARTS AND MAY
CAUSE SERIOUS DAMAGE.

Engine oil filter
- Change oil when the engine is hot.
- Place a container under the oil sump and remove
the oil drainage cap.
- After draining the oil, clean the mesh filter with a
specific solvent and then blow it with compressed
air.
- The filter can be reached after removing cap
"A" (see figure).
- After this operation, refit the filter and screw the
oil cap at the prescribed torque using a new O-
