Belt Drive Issues

Issues
Issues related to the belt drive bikes:
ISSUE CAUSE SOLUTION
Excessive drive
belt noise.
lBelt tension out-
of-spec.
lWorn belt.
Verify and adjust belt tension, see "Drive Belt
Tension and Tracking Adjustment" on
page27.
If tension is within spec, inspect belt condition
and replace if worn, see "Drive Belt, Generator
Belt, and Flywheel Replacement" on page85.
Pedal slips
when pedaling
with power.
lLoose belt, ten-
sion out-of-spec.
lWorn belt.
Verify and adjust belt tension, see "Drive Belt
Tension and Tracking Adjustment" on
page27.
If tension is within specification, inspect belt
condition and replace if worn, see "Drive Belt,

Drive belt

lMisaligned belt
pulley alignment.

Check the front to rear belt pulley alignment.
Cannot be adjusted, check the left/right fly-
wheel axle bracket condition or possible a bent
frame.
