1 Introduction
The PRIMERGY RX200 server is a high performance Intel-based 2-way rack
server which is characterized by an ultra compact design. The compact design
(only 1HU high) fits perfectly into the data processing center and server farms.
Within 19-inch infrastructures the server forms a flexible platform for sophisti-
cated Web applications. It is suitable for use as e-mail server, terminal server
and also as general application in multi-tier configurations.
The PRIMERGY RX200 server offers a high level of reliability and availability
through highly developed hardware and software components. Up to 2 Intel®
Xeon™ processors, up to 12 GB ECC DDR-SDRAM main memory and max. 3
hot-swap hard disk drives fulfill highest requirements of functionality, perfor-
mance and capacity. There are up to three PCI extension slots.
In conjunction with ServerView and RemoteView the onboard server
management controller provides a comprehensive monitoring and remote
management functionality. The optional RemoteView Service Board (RSB)
enhances this functionality.
Security functions in the BIOS Setup („D1570 Setup Utility for RX200“) and on the
system board protect the data on the server against manipulation. Additional
security is provided by the lockable rack door.
