Diluting a Sample

Using a NEW pipette tip,
draw a fresh 25 µL patient
sample
It is IMPORTANT to use a
new unused pipette tip in
order to create an accurate
dilution.
Add this sample to a
Sample Diluent tube.
Replace the cap and gently
mix by inverting the tube
back and forth several
times.
This will create a 1:100
diluted sample.
Using a NEW pipette tip,
draw a 25 µL sample from
the mixture in the Sample
Diluent tube.
It is IMPORTANT to use a
new unused pipette tip in
order to maintain an
accurate dilution.
