4 Operation QUANTRON-A
4.1 Control unit activation
Requirements:
 The control unit is connected properly to the mineral fertiliser spreader and the
tractor (for an example, see chapter 3.3: Connecting the control unit, page 21
).
 A minimum voltage of 11V is guaranteed.
n CAUTION
Risk of injury due to ejected fertiliser
In the case of a fault, it is possible that the metering slide will open
unexpectedly during road transportation to the spreading location.
There is a risk of slipping and personal injury due to ejected fertil-
iser.
 Before leaving for the spreading location the electronic
control unit QUANTRON-A must always be switched off.
NOTICE
AXIS-M EMC (+W) only
The settings in each menu are very important for optimal
automatic mass flow control.
Make sure you observe the following menu entries in particular:
 In the Fertiliser settings menu
- Spreading disc., see Page 49

- PTO speed, see Page 49
.
 In the Machine settings menu
- AUTO/MANUAL operation, see Page 58
and chapter [5].
