REMOTE ENGINE START-UP (1/3)
Introduction
If the vehicle is equipped, use this func-
tion to start your engine remotely using
your smartphone in order to heat/venti-
late the passenger compartment and to
pre-heat the engine.
This function is available via the “MY
Renault” application which can be
downloaded using your smartphone,
enabling you to interact with your vehi-
cle and access information on it.
To use this application, your smart-
phone must be paired to your multime-
dia system.

First use
At each remote starting request, you
must enter the PIN that you were given
when you created your MY Renault ac-
count. For further information, refer to
the sections on MY Renault.
Once the engine is running, the appli-
cation will display the time remaining
until the end of the procedure.
The engine will run for 10 minutes.
Conditions of use
The remote engine start-up operates if:
– the gear lever is set to neutral on ve-
hicles with a manual or sequential
gearbox;
– the gear lever is in position P on ve-
hicles with an automatic gearbox;
– the bonnet is closed;
– the ignition is off and no card is in-
serted in the card reader;
– all of the opening elements (doors
and luggage compartment) are
closed and locked when you leave
the vehicle;
– in extreme weather conditions, the
remote engine start-up by program-
ming may not work.
When using the function,
please ensure that power-
consuming devices (such
as the wipers, exterior
lights, radio, heated seats, heated
steering wheel, etc.) are deacti-
vated and all accessories are dis-
connected before leaving the vehi-
cle.
