3. Replace the fusing thermostat (TH1).
Error Name/Error Condition/Major Cause/Solution
No reload temperature of the fusing thermopile (TH2): Low voltage
After turning the fusing lamp on, the fusing thermopile has failed to reach the
reload temperature (96 °C) continuously for 8.6 seconds. AND the power supply
voltage is lower than specified voltage.
No reload temperature of the fusing thermopile (TH2): Low voltage
After reaching reload temperature, the fusing thermopile has failed to reach the
reload temperature (96 °C) continuously for 19.8 seconds. AND the power supply
voltage is lower than specified voltage.
• Thermopile lens dirt
• Power supply voltage low
• Overheating protection device triggered (blown fusing thermostat)
Check if the SC occurs by turning the power OFF then ON. If the SC occurs again,
do the following steps. Check if the SC reoccurs by cycling the power after each
step.
1. Check the input power source and reconnect the cable to the outlet.
2. Replace the fusing thermopile (TH2).
3. Replace the fusing thermostat (TH1).
4. If the problem is low voltage, ask the client to connect the machine directly to a
rated power source and to refrain from using extension cords.
Error Name/Error Condition/Major Cause/Solution
High-temperature software error (fusing thermopile (TH2))
240°C was detected continuously for 1 sec.
• TRIAC short
• EGB (PCB1) defective
• Fusing thermopile (TH2) defective
Enter the SP mode and execute fuser SC reset. Then turn the machine OFF and
ON.
If the SC occurs again, do the following steps. Check if the SC reoccurs by cycling
the power after each step.
1. If TRIAC damaged, replace PSU (PCB4).
2. Replace the EGB (PCB1).
3. Replace the fusing thermopile (TH2).
