Checking and Emptying the Waste Reservoir Tank
There is an overflow reservoir tank located under the ink mist cover. This tank should be checked monthly
and emptied. This tank does not have a sensor, so it is very important to check it on a monthly basis. The
tank is attached by Velcro.
Pull out the tube and carefully remove the tank. Unscrew the cap and pour out the waste ink.
When flushing out the system, be sure to rinse this tank out after removing the waste ink.
Checking and Replacing the Drip Absorber
Check the Drip Absorber located on the left and right sides of the printer regularly. (Figures 9.6-7 and
9.6-8) Replace them as needed when they are soaked with ink or excessive ink residue builds up. If you
use a lot of white ink, you will have a more rapid buildup of ink residue. If you do not have a new Drip
Absorber to replace, you can re-use the Drip Absorber by washing it with warm water. Dry the foam
thoroughly before reinstalling it.

The Drip Absorber on the left side of the printer is located under the Maintenance Station. The foam tray
must be removed for inspection or replacement. (Figure 9.6-7)
