Cover Open:
• When maintenance is performed, the carriage may move while the top cover is open. Do not touch the
carriage while it is moving. Touching it may result in injury.
The cover open message appears when a print job, print head clean, ink fill or nozzle check is performed
with the cover open. For safety precautions, the cover must be closed to perform these takes in order to
avoid injuries. Maintenance can still be performed with the cover open; however the printer must be
powered down. Please ensure the lid support rod is properly fastened when performing any maintenance.
