closed position.
7. Reconnect the mains adaptor to the DC input socket under the radio and
place the radio upright for use.
8. With the battery installed, a battery status indicator is shown on the display
whenever the radio is in use. This will indicate the battery level, and will also
show when the battery is being charged.
Removingthebatterypack
If the radio is not to be used for an extended period of time it is recommended that
the battery pack is removed from the radio after giving it a charge. It should then
be stored in a cool, dry place until needed, out of reach from children. Avoid storing
the battery in a completely discharged state, since this will shorten its working life.
1. To remove the battery pack, disconnect the radio from the mains adaptor and
open the battery compartment.
2. Carefully remove the battery. To unplug the cable, hold the cable near the
plug and pull gently while rocking the cable slightly side to side. Do not pull
on the plug by holding only the battery.
