R&S FSH3 Measurements on CW Signals
Checking the return loss of the cable under test:
¾ Press the MEAS MODE softkey.
¾ Select REFLECTION using the Rotary knob or the Cursor keys.
¾ Confirm your selection by pressing the MEAS MODE softkey again or by pressing the ENTER key.
The R&S FSH3 measures the return loss over the
frequency range which has been selected for the
distance-to-fault cable measurement.
To indicate that the R&S FSH3 is measuring return
loss, DTF refl. cal is displayed in the top right-hand
corner of the screen.
Checking the spectrum in the frequency range for detecting external interferers:
¾ Press the MEAS MODE softkey.
¾ Select SPECTRUM using the Rotary knob or the Cursor keys.
¾ Confirm your selection by pressing the MEAS MODE softkey again or by pressing the ENTER key.
The R&S FSH3 turns off the tracking generator and
displays the spectrum over the frequency range of the
DTF measurement.
To indicate that the R&S FSH3 is in the spectrum
mode, DTF Spectrum is displayed in the top right-
hand corner of the screen. Otherwise, the R&S FSH3
uses exactly the same settings as it did for DTF
measurements.
