Ifyourcaristobetowed,mostqualiedrecovery
specialistswillusewheelliftequipmenttosuspendthe
frontwheels,whiletherearwheelsremainontheground.
However,ifitisnecessaryforthecartobetowedwith
allfourwheelsontheground,abidebythefollowing
procedure.
BeforeBeingT owed:
DONOTremovetheignitionhandsetwhile
thecarisbeingtowedonfourwheels–as
thiswillpreventthesteeringwheelfrombeing
turned.
1SwitchtheignitionontopositionⅡtoenablethe
brakelights,wipersanddirectionindicatorstobe
operatedifnecessary.If,duetoanaccidentor
electricalfault,itisconsideredunsafetoswitchthe
ignitionon,thecarwillneedtoberecoveredona
trailer.
2Shiftleverofautomatedmechanicaltransmissionis
inpositionN,shiftleverofmanualtransmissionis
inneutralposition.
Note:Forautomatedmechanicaltransmission,
placetheshiftleverinpositionN,andthe
transmissionisinneutralposition.Otherwise,
eventhoughtheignitionkeyisinposition2and
theshiftleverisplacedinpositionofN,message
centrestillshowsN,butasamatteroffact,
transmissionmaybenotinneutralposition.Ifthe
gearofthevehicleneedingtobetowedcouldnot
betransformedtoNbeforetheignitionisOFF
duetofaults,pleasetowwithdrivewheelsoff
theground,otherwiseitmayseverelydamagethe
engineordrivetrain.
