• Howto use the VOICE RECORDING mode ( _ )
Avoice recordingcan be recordedfor as long asthe
memory capacity allows.(Max. 1hour)
1.Inany mode with the exception ofMovie clip mode,
select the VOICE RECORDING mode by pressing
the Voicerecordingbutton twice.
2. Press theshutter button to recorda voice.
- Pressthe shutter button onceand voice is
recorded foras long asthe available recording
time allows.The recordingtime wilt be displayed
on the LCD monitor.Voice willstill be recorded if
the shutterbutton is released.
- Ifyou wishto stop recording,press the shutter
button again.
- Fitetype : *.way
* A distanceof 40cm between you and the camera
(microphone) isthe best distanceto record
sound.

Pressthe shutter button allway down totake the picture.

• Whenthe FlashOfforSlowsynchromodeisselectedin a low lightingcondition,the

camerashakewarningindicator( _ ) may appearonthe LCDmonitor.In thiscase,
use atripod supportthecameraona solidsurfaceorchangetoflashshot mode.
• Shooting againstthe light:
Please do not take picturesto the sunlight direction.Taking a pictureagainstthe
sun may make the picturedark. To take a pictureagainstthe sun, please use the
[Backlight] in the sceneshooting mode (see page 17),fill-inflash (see page23),
spot metering (see page35) or exposure compensation (see page31).
• Avoid obstructingthe lensor the flash when you capturean image.
• Compose the image by usingthe LCDmonitor.
• Under certainconditionsthe auto focus system maynot perform as expected.
- When photographing a subjectthathas little contrast.
- If the subjectis highly reflectiveor shiny.
- tf the subjectis movingat high speed.
- When there is strong reflectedlight, orwhen the background is very bright.
- When the subjectmatter has onlyhorizontallines orthe subject isvery narrow
(such as a stickor flagpole).
- When the surroundings are dark.
