What should I do if … The selected temperature is too high – Reduce drying temperature
and the sample oxidizes – Put a glass-fiber filter on top of
Sample boils or scorches and the splashes the sample
continually change the sample weight – Reduce the sample quantity or
distribute more evenly
– Select a semi-automatic shutoff
parameter or select timer mode
Analysis time too long – Increase temperature
– Reduce sample quantity
– Dry 2 to 3 minutes with empty
disposable sample pan (pre-heat)
Sample loses weight prior to start – Remove the sample pan and apply
of analysis sample outside the sample chamber
Sample is liquid or pasty – Use a glass fiber filter
Sample has only a low moisture content – Increase sample quantity
Insufficient heat output – Clean temperature sensor
Place of installation unstable (vibrations, etc.) – Change the place of installation
