If LEVEL I is selected, touch OK and the security level will be LEVEL I. The MAIN
SCREEN will be displayed.
If LEVEL II is selected, touch the Password button and the Keypad Window (Figure 2-
4) will appear. Enter the correct PASSWORD and touch OK. The Keypad window will
disappear, and the color of the PASSWORD button will change from red to green.
Touch OK on the Login Window and access to the requested screen will be given.
The security level on the screen header will change. If the PASSWORD is incorrect,
the display will return to the original screen.
To access LEVEL III, the key switch must be activated. With the Login Window on the
screen as above, first insert the key into the switch on the right frame panel (see Fig.
1-1) and turn it clockwise. Touch the LEVEL III button and if the key switch is on,
the KEY SWITCH button will change from red to green. Touch OK on the Login
Window and access to the requested screen will be given. The security level on the
screen header will change. If the key switch has not been activated, the display will
return to the original screen. Remember to remove the key from the switch and
store it in a secure location.
Once a security level has been selected, it will remain in effect until it is changed by
selecting a screen requiring a higher security level, or a lower security level is
manually selected. To force the system to LEVEL I, touch the button which shows
the current security level at the top of any screen, touch LEVEL I on the Security
Login Window, and touch OK.
2.3.2 LANGUAGE OPTIONS
For sorters that have been specified to have an optional second language, there will
be a Language Selection Menu on the Security Login Window. English or the
alternate language can be selected from this menu. Note that this text change will
apply to most buttons and displays, but not to operator entered text such as Preset
Names and Log Entries.
2.4 MAIN SCREEN (See Figure 2-5)
The MAIN SCREEN allows the operator to start and stop sorting, and to change trip
levels and flow rates. The software has provision for either primary or
primary/resort versions. All discussions and examples in this manual will be for the
primary version, but where resort controls apply, the function will be the same. All
screen illustrations will be for the resort version in order to show the location of the
additional controls.
2.4.1 DARK TRIP CONTROL
The DARK TRIP control determines the sensitivity of the machine when removing
products that are darker than normal. The scale is 0 to 999, in 4 unit increments.
Setting the control to a higher number increases the sensitivity. More particles with
small dark defects will be rejected. Setting the control to a lower number decreases
the sensitivity. When the DARK TRIP is set to a lower number, only product which is
much darker than normal will be rejected.
