SECTION 5
TROUBLESHOOTING
5.0 SCOPE
The ScanMasterII is a very reliable machine, and, with proper maintenance, any
failures should be rare.
The machine has several diagnostic features and indicators to aid in finding and
correcting any problem that does develop.
A thorough understanding of what each LED signifies when it is illuminated a certain
color during normal operation, will be very beneficial in correcting abnormal
operation.
Interchanging a PCB that is known to be working correctly with a suspected faulty
PCB is a good way to find a problem.
If problems are experienced with the operator interface, it is suggested that the
preset being run should be recalled. Reloading the preset conditions may correct
the problem. If not, the next step is to close the operator interface program and go
through the START/SHUTDOWN/"Restart the computer" sequence.
If the system loses power, the UPS will allow the control computer to perform a
normal shutdown. Data is not lost.
