to appear in the indicator window. When the indicator is half green and half red, the
filter element should be changed.
The OIL REMOVAL FILTER is serviced as follows:
A. Turn off the air to the machine and reduce the air pressure in the bowl to
zero.
B. Remove the drain line.
C. Remove the metal bowl by turning counter-clockwise.
D. Remove the filter element by turning counter-clockwise.
E. Wash the metal bowl, automatic drain components and o-rings in warm water
and soap. Rinse and dry these parts.
F. Blow out internal passages in the body with clean, dry compressed air.
G. Inspect all parts and replace any that are not in good condition. The filter
element cannot be cleaned. It must be replaced with a new one.
H. Apply a coat of Dow Corning 44 grease (or equivalent) to the o-rings.
I. Reassemble the filter according to Figure 4-3. Make certain that all o-rings
are installed in the correct location. Install the o-ring in the top groove of the
bowl before rotating the bowl into place.
J. Return the filter to operation by turning on the air and checking for leaks.
4.9 CLEANING THE TOUCH SCREEN DISPLAY
The TOUCH SCREEN Display should be cleaned occasionally. While the
ScanMasterII is off (the display is not active), use a clean non-abrasive cloth
dampened with mild soapy water. Wipe away any residue and dry with a clean
non-abrasive cloth.
